Achievement for All (AfA) aims to improve provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

AfA is a proven framework for whole-school improvement focused on three strands which aim to improve:

  • achievement and progress for all children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
  • parental engagement in their childs education
  • the wider outcomes – ie relating to bullying and attendance

The Achievement for All pilot scheme, which ran from 2009 – 2011, has had a profound impact on children, leaders, teachers and parents from 454 participating schools across 10 local authorities.

In May 2011 the University of Manchester published their Achievement for All National evaluation, which demonstrates dramatic improvement in reading, writing and mathematics for over 28,000 pupils. AfA is a proven framework for school improvement - attendance, behaviour, participation in extra-curricular activities, leadership and Ofsted outcomes have all been enhanced in pilot schools.

Based on the success of the pilot scheme the Achievement for All programme is now being offered nationally by Achievement for All 3A’s Ltd. To find out more about how you can participate in the national rollout, please contact enquiries@afa3as.org.uk or on the Achievement for All 3As website.
