School business management virtual school

We have created an online introductory module that looks into the key areas of the SBM profession and our professional development programmes. The module is designed to raise awareness about the role of the SBM and its importance in bringing about school improvement. It covers:

  • the professional development opportunities available to aspiring and practicing SBMs
  • the distinctive tasks performed by SBMs in schools
  • the professional development programmes available from the National College
  • how the school business management profession is growing
  • the next steps to take in your professional development

This is part of a package of six online modules; the other five are accessible only for our SBM programme participants. Please note that you need to be a member of the National College to access the module – membership is free to individuals in England who have a professional interest in schools and early years leadership and offers you a range of benefits and networking opportunities.
