SBM workshop: Marketing and promoting the school

This workshop focuses on school marketing and promotion, while taking into consideration the need to achieve value-for-money in the use of time and resources, as well as other challenges that arise when developing a marketing strategy for a school.

The aims of the workshop are to:

  • develop your knowledge and understanding of
    • marketing theories
    • how to create and implement a marketing strategy
    • best practice in using a variety of communication strategies to promote a positive image of the school
    • how to promote the school in a digital age
  • raise awareness of marketing strategies within a changing educational landscape
  • develop your skills in monitoring and measuring the impact of marketing strategies
  • evaluate the benefit of promotional materials
  • develop awareness of market research strategies available to schools

Who can apply?

The workshop is targeted towards those with responsibility for, or interested in, marketing and promotion in their schools.

What’s involved?

The workshop consists of eight sessions, each being delivered at a face-to-face event. There is no assessment, however certificates will be awarded.
