In search of excellence - exploring the impact of the school business manager

22-23 June 2009, Manchester

Achieving world class schools brought together over 500 school leaders, local authority and government representatives, governors, training providers and a number of overseas delegates to consider the development and impact of school business managers globally.

The conference provided an opportunity to network, showcase good practice, debate and share practical advice.

Speakers included:

  • Rt Hon Vernon Coker, Minister of State for Schools and Learners
  • Hilary Emery, Executive Director at the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA)
  • Bill Strickland, social entrepreneur and business and community leader

The conference was delivered by the National College in collaboration with the TDA. It was sponsored by Serco Education and Children's Services.
