Schools and children’s centres: an integrated approach

With many local authorities reviewing the way children’s centres are run and managed, one approach is for schools and children’s centres, particularly those located on the same site, to enter into a closer operational partnership. Read an ldr article about how this is working in practice.

Helping every child succeed (Every Child Matters)

Every Child MattersEnsuring that children, young people and their families have the best environment in which to achieve and flourish is critical for all leaders. The government supports the Every Child Matters (ECM) principles and integrated working to improve outcomes for all children and young people, but recognises that local areas are developing integrated working practice in different ways. There is no longer statutory guidance but local practice and agreements will be important.
