Training materials and support

If you are planning a training session on succession planning with governors, we have prepared the resources below to support your preparation and delivery.

There is a presentation pack including slides on the national context for succession planning. You may also wish to draw on the associated session plan and speaking notes as used with governors by National College facilitators.

There's a card sort activity designed to stimulate debate about the relative roles and responsibilities of local authorities and dioceses, headteachers and governing bodies, and a set of scenario cards to support participants in exploring the toolkit.
