Apply for DCS Leadership Programme
Registration is now open for future cohorts. The registration process will allow all serving directors of children's services (DCSs) to register their interest in the programme and select a preferred start date.
The application round for cohort 3 which commences in April 2010, closed on 13 November 2009. However, it is still possible to register for the programme and if you wish to join the next available cohort, which commences in November 2010, please ensure you have stated your preference by 16 July 2010.
We will endeavour to meet a participant's preference. Should a particular cohort become oversubscribed we will aim for cohorts to be balanced and representative, based on including DCSs from a range of local authorities contexts, backgrounds, Government Office regions and wave 1,2 and 3 DCSs*.

* Wave 1: DCSs who were responsible for establishing children's services as defined in the Children Act (2004). Wave 2: DCSs who were appointed to departments that had already been established by a Wave 1 DCS. Wave 3: DCSs who are third generation in their post.
