Fellowship Programme

The Fellowship Programme is for the best leaders in education and examines cutting-edge theory and practice of leadership and management. It provides access to the highest academic thinking, and exposes participants to leaders across a range of different sectors, enabling cross-sector sharing and learning.
The programme equips strategic leaders who have proved themselves through the national leaders of education (NLE) process as capable of improving both other schools and their locality.
Key facts
- The programme is for NLEs who have an interest in challenging themselves even further and broadening their perspective to influence the wider education landscape as system leaders.
- There is an emphasis on integrating with and learning from both the private sector and elsewhere in the public sector, encouraging two-way knowledge and experience exchange.
- Participants are provided with one-to-one coaching.
Duration
The programme takes nine months to complete.
Delivery method
Reflective self-development via one-to-one coaching and group events with peers and colleagues. Following an initial 360-degree diagnostic assessment, each participant has the same coach throughout the programme.
Who can apply?
Exceptional leaders who will go on to influence the wider educational landscape as future leaders of groups, chains and federations of schools.
