Who is Leadership Pathways for?
Leadership Pathways is for senior school leaders who want to develop and fulfill their leadership potential. Whether you want a deeper sense of personal satisfaction doing your current role, or want to develop the skills you'll need to take on the role of headteacher in the near future, this programme is for you.
It is open to:
- senior school leaders - such as deputy or assistant headteachers
- those who aspire to a senior leadership role in the next one to two years (Leadership Pathways supports those who wish to undertake the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH))
You must also:
- be able to identify an in-school coach who is prepared to work with you throughout the programme
- have the opportunity to undertake a leadership change project in your school
- have the support of senior school leaders to undertake the programme
- be based in an educational setting
- have significant experience in school leadership roles
- have previous involvement in successful change management
Prioritising applications
Applications from those who are currently senior leaders will be given priority, with all other applications prioritised by the date they are completed.
For the purpose of this programme, senior leaders are defined as 'members of the school senior leadership team (including school business managers) and leaders within multi-agency, early years settings'.
