Multi-Agency Team Development

Mulit-Agency Team Development programme

The Multi-Agency Team Development (MATD) programme addresses the challenges faced by multi-agency teams in the delivery of the Every Child Matters (ECM) agenda and the development of extended schools.

MATD enables participants to develop team-working skills and behaviours so they can address the challenges of delivering the outcomes resulting from the ECM agenda. The programme develops effective teamwork that crosses agency boundaries to deliver improved working environments and better outcomes for children, young people, families and those working with them.

Key facts

  • To participate in the MATD programme your team must be supported by a team sponsor. The sponsor is ideally a senior leader in a local authority or another setting who can engage with and nominate a viable team.
  • The programme is experiential with learning primarily taking place through reflection and dialogue.

Duration

Six months

Delivery method

The MATD programme comprises a principle engagement with the team's sponsor, a personality and team assessment tool, consultant sessions, face-to-face events and facilitator-led workshops.
