The application round for the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) is now closed.

Before you begin
- Download the National Standards for Headteachers and read the six key areas of headship guidance, which will help you construct your answers to address these standards.
- Read our guidance on the mandatory requirement to hold the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).

- Download the application form so you can draft your answers, ready to apply.

Find out which entry centre covers your region and make a note of this. You will be asked to select your provider at the start of the online application process.
